Vettel Pole, Red Bull Start

Sebastian Vettel took pole for the 9th this season after being the fastest in qualifying GP Korea, Saturday, October 23, 2010. Red Bull Racing had dominated qualifying. This is the pole streak for the Red Bulls 1-2 after also reached the Grand Prix of Japan and the eighth this season.

Had scattered at position 16 in final free practice, Vettel managed to get up in qualifying. The German rider had to work hard to beat Fernando Alonso (Ferrari).

Alonso likely to reach the pole at the Circuit Yeongam after a record 1 minute 35.766 seconds was not deterred. But in Q3, Vettel managed to poke with a record time of 1 minute 35.585 seconds.

Mark Webber managed to evict Alonso to position 3. McLaren's Lewis Hamilton was in position 4 after a slip when trying to enter the pit.

Nico Rosberg (Mercedes GP) managed to maintain its performance over the weekend and managed to reach position 5, followed by Felipe Massa and Jenson Button are having trouble with tire temperature throughout the three qualifying sessions.

Renault driver Robert Kubica who had mastered last exercise has only been in position 7, in front of two veteran drivers Michael Schumacher (Mercedes) and Rubens Barrichello (Williams).

Renault driver Vitaly Petrov had dropped five ranks to 15th in the race tomorrow, Sunday, October 24, 2010, after getting a penalty at the Japanese GP.
